Have you ever thought what it would be like if you could ‘own your life’?
What I think it means to ‘own your life’ is by the time you subtract out all the sleeping time, commuting time, working time and things that you have to do each and every day of your life, most people don’t have one or two hours a day to do what they would like to do. And, then would you have the money to do it?
It takes 3 things to Own Your life: It takes time, it takes money, and it takes your health.
What’s the alternative? Working 40 to 80 hours a week at your job until your 65? I’ve seen the alternative. The alternative looks like not having enough money to retire on. The alternative is having to ask permission to take your kid to the dentist or canceling flights when you are told you can’t take that vacation when you wanted to. The alternative is hoping that the people and company you are giving your life to will look out for you, when deep down you have already had confirmation that it just isn’t the case.
The alternative MAY mean big money but never means big freedom. I know executives and sales people that make big money but not only is their freedom not there, it will never be there.
If you don’t have millions in the bank, real estate rentals, or singing/acting career, how can you begin to ‘own your life’ and experience freedom?
It takes a million dollars in the bank to make $5000 a month at 6 percent interest. Do you have that in Savings? If not, how will you make it?
